Windows 7 32-bit
Intel Core 2 Duo @2.8GHz
2 gigs of ram
NVIDIA GeForce GT 220
Score: 1251

Windows 7 N 64-bit
Pentium Dual CPU @ 2.6
6 gigs of ram
NVIDIA GeForce GT 220
Score: 1321

I have a feeling its my graphics card, but its a 1GB DDR3 video card so I thought I would be ok.

Another thing ive been thinking about upgrading are the power supplys on both PCs.. when i got the graphics cards I noticed that my power supplys were right on the Minimum (300w i think), think that might be part of the problem?

Make sure that your drivers for your cards are completely up to date. After I updated mine it worked. If it does get ready for a 3 day download.

Reason I went with the 220 was for the price, 1 gig video card for I think around $90 (got it from Frys). Should I be expecting to pay alot more for a decent Radeon?

Erm, i don't really know that much NVIDIA but it depends what you are willing to pay. You can buy a Radeon HD 4870 for around $130 which i'm guessing will give you at least 20-40 FPS. Your CPU might let you down because i've read that XIV depends more on Core usuage.

somethings not right with your pc's. im basically running the same setup. i only have a 9800gt, win xp, and slightly higher cpu clock speed and i score around 1950 all day. tbh im surprised your system will even run with your way underpowered power supply

Windows 7 Pro 64bit
Intel Core 2 Duo 3.16 Ghz
4Gb DDR2 1200 RAM
512mb Geforce 8800 GT

*all drivers 100% up to date

Scores:
1480 on High - 1920x1080
2524 on Low - 1280x720

This depressed me so much that a few hours ago I ordered 2 XFX Radeon HD 5750's. My mobo has 2 full speed x16 PCI-E 2.0 slots. So I gave in and decided to go with a CrossFire config. I've always used Nvidia cards, so i'm taking the plunge... ATI you better not dissapoint me. =p

thats a nice score with a 8800gt. you might get burnt on the ff14 not cross-fire compatible. as of right now the bench only runs off one vid card.......... also, you would prob be better off upgrading to a quad-core or better cpu first. you will be starving those vid cards with that cpu

I looked back once...and I haven't looked back to anything ATI made since. Too many problems in my opinion. I have never had an issue with nvidia. Always have had issues with ATI cards.

@Ramuh.Krazyy Your video card is entry level. Really not suited for serious gaming. I'm guessing your benchmark was done in 720p
@Odin.Moondaddy 9800 GT is a much better card, I have a feeling you did benchmark in 1080p too since my past PC (Core2duo E6750 + 8800GTS G92) gave me scores around 2200.

actually no, i get horrid scores on high and my crap *** 17" lcd dont care for the 1080p settings. even pushing my video card waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy past stock clocks i cant break into the 2k range. at this point im thinking a phenom2 is my best bet to boost my bench scores

edit: lil fyi 8800gt=9800gt, its the same chipset (g92) nvidia just did a die shrink and a rename. also the 9800gtx/+ and the gts250's also use the g92 chipset, it just has 12 more shader cores unlocked

I know, but in the case of 8800GTS, there are g80 and g92 versions, just had to specify :3
