That's the general idea, Blazza.

When I do runs i like to bring 2 meripo style parties and then a BLM party, just have the BLM party try to go for killshots and not worry about it too much, stuff will tier up quickly.

Just a break down of TEs chest for others

So if ppl going for TEs chest all they need to do is Magic kill mobs till ya hit high Tier blue chest sence blue chest give ya that azure light and blue chest also happen to contain TEs..right?

so once you reach your 'hidden' cap on azure light, you switch to melee kills to increase chest drop? does that make your cap on azure light reset or start to reduce to where every so often you have to go back to killing with magic? or does the alliance keep the azure lvl the whole time in there, and pearl, etc. once you cap out you are gtg.

The only thing that resets your progress is killing a different type of mob, which, I believe, includes an NM of the same family.

No, because physical blue magic counts as magic kills!

Also, totally random question, what colour light is it counted as if the mob "falls to the ground"? Magic, or the last type of damage that hit it?

Hey Krizz, just curious when you go for exp runs what monsters do you consider the best?

I usually go for the Blood Bats in Tahrongi but I have heard from some JP members in my LS that the Toads in La Theine are really good aswell. I think they are called Crapaudy or something close

Crapaudy, Blood Bats, Lizards, Mandys, and Bugards are the top 5 camps, iirc.

Pretty much anything, it's just about what's easiest/fastest to kill. Crapaudy would be good because they have not much HP (so I hear) and no tp moves. They hit pretty fast though I believe.

La Theine: birds, pixies, crapaudy, corpselights, bees, puks, gigas, maybe even worms.

Konscthat: bugards, imps, corpselights, wivres, xzomits, leeches, funguar.

Tahrongi: corpselights, cockatrice, qutrubs? ummm.... mini-fafs for the lulz? People like Mandies, but *** if I know why a mnk mob with aoe sleep is good to kill.

They'd all be my recommendations, maybe not on the imps/corpselights due to AOE, but with two parties of melee beating on them and a bunch of blm with stuns handy it shouldn't be so bad. Oh, corpselights have ice spikes though...

I observed this last night and saw no light at all so we assumed it did nothing and therefore stopped using DOT on them.

Aye, which also rules out a few of the mob families I suggested as they have roaming NMs in the zone rather than popped NMs. If you were really struggling to find a camp you could just avoid the NM and CFH on it if you agro it though I guess.

to get high azure light, opening red chests will give some also, so MB or magic kill shots and WS kill shots

Well crabs and beetles don't cast anything and they have MP. The reason I ask is because I simply don't know. Wiki doesn't have a category for them (just lumps them in with poroggo), and even though I think Das is right, they're like baby poroggo, which are some of the most powerful mages in the game.
