A lot of new gear was added with this update obviously. These will change the new optimal gearsets for drks possibly. Here are some of the more prominent pieces:

Goading Belt Rare Exclusive
Waist
Haste+5% "Store TP"+5 Enmity+3
Lv77 WAR, MNK, WHM, BLM, RDM, THF, PLD, DRK, BST, BRD, RNG, SAM, NIN, DRG, SMN, BLU, COR, PUP, DNC, SCH,

Possible 5 hit/6 hit piece depending on subjob

Timarli Dastanas Rare Exclusive
Hands
DEF:21 STR+4
Haste+4% "Subtle Blow"-6
Lv79 WAR, PLD, DRK, DRG,

Replaces dusk gloves, no HP though.


I didn't find much else other than perle set for drk while skimming through dat mining that could that valuable to drk. Homam/ebody/hauberk is still pretty much better than the new berk set however. Post if you found anything new possibly. Assuming anyone here gives a ***about drk still after this update... or before it lol.

Biggest idea being thrown around is a more viable 5 hit build for drk however at least for apoc that would require 45ish STP. Anyone have thoughts?

What sucks about the new gs is the base delay of 430. Its gonna be harder to get a 6 hit with that. new store tp belt will be nice for it lol

Not sure DRK has enough for a 6, more like 7 hit.

About the new Scythe WS
I hope it follows this formula atleast..

(Primal Rend)
"Maximum damage appears to be ~600-750 with no MAB, up to 1150 with both Moldy, Ulg. Pendant and subbing Mage Job with Mab and having +60 chr using Martial Axe"

So what could we throw on though? (Assuming it's also modded by INT)
Moldy Earring/Abyss Body/ What other pieces does DRK get a MATK Bonus?

This Algol doesn't look bad it seems to be an improved subduer. Also with the amount of new store TP gear a 6 hit shouldnt be a problem right?

I'm thinking 5-6 hit isn't going to be reachable with those greatswords without a good bit of sacrifices. If you sacrifice too much accuracy for it you'll end up with less dot than if you had just remained with a 7 hit.

This GS needs +30 StoreTP for TP and +20 StoreTP for WS... for a true 6 hit build with 480 delay.

That would be: /sam, rajas ring, brutal earring, rose strap, and the new Goading Belt(haste+5, storeTP+5) ... which = 30 StoreTP for TP.

For WS you just need to have as little as +20StoreTP, though you will have +25STP from /sam, rajas, brutal, rose strap(have to keep the grip on for WS because you would lose TP if you change it.)

There's no sacrifice in haste slots or any sacrifice at all besides maybe going from speed/velocious belt (if you had that) to Goading belt, but even then... the Goading Belt should still be better if it's giving you the X-hit build etc.
