Ok im doing my Black belt quest traded beard went to bastok market talked to the old guy got cs went back to Neptune's Spire then traded tongue. When I go to Maat all he tells me is "Not a while ago a San d'Orian boy--Halver, I think his name was--came through here. I wonder what business he had at the Duchy... wtf is that nothing about the egg if anyone know why this is happening to me plz help! ty
how many times u talk to him? may have had something to do with a diff quest
I'm thinking adventurer's campaign. Were you wearing a Dinner outfit?
Edit: I thought it was over but it might still cause problems? ive talk to Maat many times now he say the same thing and nope didnt have Dinner outfit on -_- im very stressed out over this atm ><
I don't even know if this will work, but if you have a dinner jacket go talk to Halver in Chateau twice until he mentions Maat. Go talk to Maat with the dinner jacket on, then talk to him without it. Maybe zone, then talk to him again. I dunno, sounds like it's the adventurer appreciation quest jamming it though :/
nope that didnt work good thing I still had the jacket and hose but I did moggiebag quest and have it. this is driving me crazy

Maaaybe try bringing him a testimony...? I dunno ._.; You probably will have to wait until the GM call thing works again.... :s Maybe you need to have a brown belt in inventory when trading the last item.
yeah I have brown belt on me still nothing
After trading tongue to the door, did you talk to Atori-Tutori again, before Maat? That might be what's wrong.

Atori-Tutori just shows up in the cs after I traded the tongue
were you on NIN or MNK when trying to trade the item, because it only works on MNK 71+. Sorry if I'm pointing out stuff you may have already tried, but this quest has several requirements to work, and you gotta get the stupid stuff off of the checklist.
no. its ok I was on mnk got the cs and all but when I go to Maat he just says the same thing over and over I think its a glitch but no GM reply ; ; just sucks after all the hard work to get the items for my black belt this bs happens... /cry
Seems you're not the only one having this problem. A 70 BLM posted on Alla he's getting the same text from Maat instead of getting the Shattering Stars quest flagged and now he's stuck. Must be some glitch.

Hmm, this is a odd issue, I think I may try to go trade my testi to the BC and see if I can get in, because I know I should, but apparently this bug won't let you.

I remember when I finally got the egg, I went to Jeuno to trade it and get my belt, but nothing happened. I figured I needed more fame or something, so I went to trade ores to the Tenshodo as if I had 0 norg fame just to make sure. I traded 100+ ores or whatever it was, checked the door, still nothing.
I was on NIN... I wish that was my case Spency but the lack of support from GM and SE on this matter is really piss'n me off. I felt bad enough b4 being full Usukane and no BB now when I get all the items for it this happen /sigh

I smell an SE bug, though why is it now being discovered? On my way to see what he says. yeah its clear is a bug but lets back up for a sec that last event was dumb from the start 1st off people need to get to the top of Heavens tower which if your not from windy thats a no no and people had to go to tavnazian safehold o.O what if u didnt have cop that far? SE needs to fix thier mess and like fast....
Ok well I got my normal LB5 text. But then again I didn't do it, though I did get my jacket and I don't have it on me though.
Hope that bit of information helps =( bet it had something to do with the event when windy people didnt have to go back to Maat when other people did. A F~up SE....
Just checked, I hoofed it to Balga's and traded my testi, got my LB5 option (didn't do it ofcourse, but ...) seems to be working on my end.
Try talking to Atori-Tutori again. You gotta do that again between trading the tongue and talking to Maat. (you don't have this step listed in your original post) Talk to Atori-Tutori, talk to Maat and then try trading the egg to the door in Neptune's spire. gl

You need to finish the Adventurer Appreciation mission and get the moggiebag as because you have that quest activated it is interfering with the BB quest. Also you need to talk to each NPC twice doing the adventurer quest otherwise it doesn't finish it.
