Most of the content is true, but some should be taken with a grain of salt.

I think its true.

Example against Bomb Type mobs Yesterday: (Magic Mortars hitting for 0)

Stringing Pummell 1000+ -> Darkness 1300

Dragon Kick 450 -> Light 600+

Idk much bout chainbound, but if the question is can the resulting SC deal more damge than the ws? Then the answer is yes, although not all the time, maybe 10% or so.

I remember a Screenshot of a Magic Mortor closing a SC and doing 6k+ Light iirc lol

Ive personally experianced that if I close a ws after magic mortar goes off, that the resulting dmg from it will be close to if not a bit more then the dmg i did from weapon skill, however if the ws i do opens the sc and MM closes, the resulting dmg will be 0 if magic mortar dmg was 0

Last I checked, Magic Mortar > Stringing Pummel = Gravitation.

Also the MM closing the 6k+ Light was back before the MM nerf, and you could Flame Holder + 3 Fire Maneuvers with your automaton at 1HP. Those were fun days. lol

As for Chainbound...

Meowzer you are correct in that.

Now for the OP. Yes, it is possible to get more than the 2nd WS's DMG when you SC with Magic Mortar, though it is not as high as it used to be, maybe 50-150 more DMG.

However this doesn't matter too much because except in very specific situations Stringing Pummel > Dragon Kick + SC.

That is true even if you add the low DMG from a Gravitation SC to Stringing Pummel or not.

Of course I remember MM&DK make Light. :) That's how I unlocked Stringing Pummel, lol (after about 1,600 Light SC with my Automaton)... ><

This is first i have heard of MM causing chainbound effect...i need to go test that out sometime

As for the bonus dmg from skillchain, is that not just bonus dmg from day? for example i know closing a 2 way light can be effected by lighting, fire, wind, lights days in that it has a chance to produce more dmg.

EDIT: someone above talking about chainbound, what chianbound does is act like an opening to a skillchain w/o needing to actually use a weaponskill..(MM being a weaponskill itself is why i find this odd)

Yes, I'm with Bray on this one. I really don't believe MM has some random effect called Chainbound. The extra DMG is most likely coming from something we're just not noticing idk what it is its possible it's the day.

Yea, Meow I'm srry for saying that I even rethought it a min later and decided to edit the post. lol XP

It's all good.
I don't trust wiki that much anyway. Lots of BS on there and people flaunting e-peen with edits. lol
