outside of zergs I've seen drk/drg (myself) gain hate about as fast as any other sub, high jump just doesn't shed enough hate to be as reliable as any dmg mitigation abilities like utsusemi or third eye for survival with real world useage (you're gaining tp faster than /nin, but not as fast as /sam dependent abs-tp timing/strength and hasso juggling).
as for albion v. naglering, not quite so clear-cut for most situations you'd use GS. albion's delay allows for the use of any grip (except sword strap) when /sam with at least rajas for a 7-hit build. naglering requires rose strap (along with rajas) to keep a 6-hit, but also gets a 4 acc/20 atk advantage before any grip benefits that albion might get. albion's higher dmg is roughly 12% over naglering's, but naglering's +atk should be about a 4% increase at ~500 atk (only really effects tp dmg. though, it can effect WS dmg as well, but the difference should be less than ~2% higher than it would w/o the atk). the difference in delay is ~290 giving nag. an ~11.5% advantage (2505 v. 2796)(after first WS). w/o /sam naglering is able to use other straps like albion (except sword to keep their 7/8-hit), but there is only a delay difference of 256 giving it a weaker advantage of ~8.5% (3006 v. 3262)(after first WS).
