Drg In The Future

Well We all know all jobs will be getting upgrades in the next few updates or so. From what I read Drg will be getting a new jump ability and some weapon Skills. Anyone have any facts or predictions they could throw out that drg might get?

DRG onry atk+ buff would be nice. Hell, any +damage, acc, haste, or something..

War has zerk
Mnk has focus
Sam has hasso
Drk has last resort/soul eater etc

Arguably, true DRG has a wyvern doing reasonable extra DPS

But people barely take notice of it..

Hell, maybe some actual pet commands? Would be sick to see Wyvern with a Sic/Ready ability lol (I know elemental breath wipes their TP, but one could always hope.. lol)

where does SE not give drg love >.> , drg is an awsome DD.

Also SE said they were taking a look at wyvren too right? If no one can confirm this I guess I have go dig it up.

dragoon can dd very well with the right gear but it normally requires you to dump a crap ton of gil along with time to be considered a good dd which a lot of drgs aren't willing to do and most of them tp in lolaf -.-

Drgs are very good if used right. But again can be very easily beat.

An example is in a Kirin burn 2 weeks ago.

We had 3 brd,1 cor, 3 sam, war, drg(me) and couple healers and a rdm/drk for css. Oh and a smn using alex for main dd pt.

War is decked with shadow body and hachiryu legs and all that good stuff. 1 sam is normal and other is full usu.

My lil drg in the 2minute zerg won the pasre :P
I did 11k dmg out of the 61k. roughly 17.85 %. the 2 sams were close behind with 15.74 and 14.5.

But anyway thats just me tooting my horn. Most situations drg will get stomped easily by a sam. So yes. SE PLEASE give us some new abilities lol

Maybe SE just doesn't want Drg to be a better DD than Sam.
One job has to be the strongest.

DRG is really good, angon is amazing, it's just kind of a rare job and everyone jumps on the WAR or SAM bandwagon.

It's not SE giving DRG too little love, it's them giving too much of it to WAR and SAM.

All DRGs good gear comes from events too, SAM and WAR can just buy most of their good stuff.

That's kind of true for every homam job though. At least the 3 mini expansions helped that a lot, don't need pants, can get a fake hauby, etc. SAM and WAR basically just need haidate and WS gear(heca and stuff, drg needs heca too though)

eventually they will have to really update tank jobs...tank jobs already can't hold hate with SE giving them so much tbh.

and eh drg could really use some new stuffs. but I bet SE will release something extreme for lulzsam. the ultimate DD on the game. tsktsk.

I was Pissed today tho I was rejected from the Shadow Lord OP fight cuse i was a drg. They said drg cant keep hate, thats bull ***i did it in my group as Drg Drk Sam Smn Rdm Whm and we won and i even stole hate from drk and sam once in a while...

Mnk gets Focus, so they get more than drg right?

Totally agree, most reason why DRG doesn't have a good rep is because it's much harder to gear than SAM. I have both SAM & DRG at 75. DRG was 2nd to 75, SAM was third.

I don't do any endgame at the moment. I would love to do Limbus, but there seems to be no GMT LS's alive on Shiva for it. However, I've done some Dynamis, and I did sky for like 3-4 months ages back.

To get to the point, even with my very limited time in endgame, and very low gil income, and even with SAM being my third job, I've been able to gear it to an acceptable standard (In my opinion) with 20% haste, 6 hit setup, pretty much capped acc, etc. While my DRG, which I actually like more, is still sitting around gimpy. Why? Because my SAM gear, with exception of Haidate, was all obtainable with simple quests, easy NMs, an ENM, Auction House or NPC. While DRG.... Well, DRG needs.. what? ZNM, HNM, Limbus, Sky, etc? Might just be me, but I've found it MUCH harder to try and gear up, and it's the main reason why I'm usually on SAM for anything that matters.

DRG Mithra is far sexier than SAM Mithra, and that is all that matters. Well, it would be if I was every party leader anyway. What were we talking about again?

Seriously though, DRG is underrated and SAM is overrated. Combination of the two with the lasting stigma from the loldrg era leads people to exclude it more than they should.

I agree completely with Superdan, which is why I favor WAR most of the time, even though I like DRG more.
My DRG is now a dust collector(If it were an object >->;) and I only use it for solo/campaign.

if you dont have brd brd or brd cor its not worth going to.

I use my dragoon for campaign, FoV, NM's etc.. basically anything that warrants /blu.. only time i get to /war or /sam and kill ***, is if i level sync pt with social ls on 55 or 61 birds :/

My DRG generally averages 1k (Eyeballed) on merit birds, which is admitedly very sucky..

Then again, I've never had a great merit party. I'd be surprised if I've done more than a couple dozen merit pt's in the last couple years. Pretty much all my merits came from FoV / Campaign / solo & duo etc.

I've downgraded my DRG to the point where I wouldn't dare take it to a meripo, but when it was my only job my penta's would hit for roughly the same, unless there was a brd and a cor(which is why I said what I said. :P)
