Also, on a serious note, my mom instilled a great sense of acceptance, I guess I could say. Is that the right word? As in, to her, everyone was a person. Black, white, gay, straight, transsexual, religious or not. She's let us swear in the house, but if we made a "***" joke she'd beat the daylights out of us.
