I have that problem from time to time (not fully upgraded). It usually just means it's taking Firefox longer to clear out the memory it sucked up. AIM is the same way if you log chats. It takes a while to go from cache to the log and then clear up all the memory used for the process in general.

Just realized I haven't had the firefox issue on XP, only Vista.
I haven't had a problem with Fox on Vista. I set my ***to delete the cache upon closing the browser. I only had a problem on XP when I open it and close it when it was in the middle of d/l'ing a stream and reopen it with the message saying an instance is already open.
