We try to avoid politics as much as possible when my dad is visiting. My dad, the beau and his dad are just a powder keg. Alcohol and cards or trivia cannot be enjoyed in my household when my dad is around. I have found myself holding my head in my hands repeating a Trivial Pursuit card over and over in an attempt to quell the impending crap-fest. Sometimes, I don't know if my dad thinks I'm automatically going to default to "Daddy's Little Girl" mode, but I have not been a fan of the pissing contests he has been inducing with either for the past two or two-and-a-half years now.
