Where do I apply for this position?
I was recently let go from my last position as King.

I'm sorry we already hired chuu...
O-okay...

Well it's a good thing I invested all that money into the Kingdom's unemployment program.

*thinks for a minute*
Oh right... that's what I named the execution squad.

You know, I've always wanted to become a street sweeper. Do you think I have the skills for it though?

You might be a king or a little street sweeper, but sooner or later you dance with the reaper.

Howdy chaps and chappette(s), how are things?
Looks like we've lost a lander, but gained knowledge.
I'd also rate Talisker 10 over Lagavulin 16, and Ron Zacapa 23 over either.

Was really not impressed.

Benriach 17 Solstice and Ardbeg Dark Cove, however, are damn good. (Ardbeg wins).

ardeg is good. i like laphroaig the most because i enjoy the strong peat flavor. if you want a more smokey scotch it's the best. some people like a lighter peat highland flavor. nothing wrong with that.

I'll pass to Kara, who enjoys the warm-housefire mouth sensation; but for smokey the Solstice was better than the Laprroaig, and the Ardbeg has a nice smoke plus a lot of other complexity which just keeps on going, which is what wins the match (for me, at least).

O.O ... going to have to try this...
from the website

"An explosion of crackling peat sets off millions of flavour explosions: peat effervesces with tangy lemon and lime juice, black pepper pops with sizzling cinnamon-spiced toffee. Then comes a wave of brine infused with smooth buttermilk, ripe bananas and currants. Smoke gradually wells up on the palate bringing a mouthful of warm creamy cappuccino and toasted marshmallows. As the taste lengthens and deepens, dry espresso, liquorice root and tarry smoke develop coating the palate with chewy peat oils."

I'm not 100% on the "buttermilk" I hope it's more of a dulce de leche

Yeah. That sounds like it'd hit the spot.

Edit: Meanwhile I'm sitting here trying to figure out what's the cheapest not-awful liquor I can buy at the arena tonight.

Probably good ol' JD, but something a little higher end wouldn't hurt if I can find it for a markup that isn't insane.

It was amazing.

The first taste, the middle, and the end are all distinct flavors. It is just...awesome. Five minutes after my first taste I was still savoring.

I didn't get the buttermilk taste, more of a smokey caramel at times, not really creamy.

You will just have to try it and let me know. It was amazing.

The Irish bartender who recommended it has been in the bar business for a couple of decades (who had a passion for peat whiskeys) said it was the best he had ever tried.
