Seeing as how this relies on the Guildwork Client to run smoothly are you going to add new features to the Client to make it more attractive for people to use? The ability to turn of the calendar in-game, log-in via Open ID (on the client), and manually upload XML to our profiles would be a start.

Turning off calendar is something you could technically do now.

You could put something like this in your Windoer config.

"alias fixgw load text;.wait 1;.text devset schedule position 1300 968;.wait 1;unload text"

And just call the //text command to move it else, but I will find time to add it as a feature to remove it.

So what exactly is working without Premium subscription part from signing up?

I seem to be unable to find anything.

Don't get me wrong, this looks great and all, but 3.33/month? That's a bit much.

You can see it on FFXIAH and Guildwork (slow updates). Keep in mind premium comes with way more.

No advertising
Faster character updates via Guildwork's scraper
Query FFXIAH.com via Guildwork Client (Final Fantasy XI)
Get notified when your items sell on the Auction House (Final Fantasy XI)
Chat in-game from your browser (Final Fantasy XI)
See shouts via Guildwork Client in any zone (Final Fantasy XI)
Watch cross-server shouts and search archives via your browser (Final Fantasy XI)

...and a lot of people have found it to be worth it.

Thanks for that Stanislav, that worked and now that the annoyance is gone I'll keep my client on.

I wonder if Guildwork would be able to scrape Assault Ranks from the Missions tab so we can finally fix the FFXIAH "no captain rank" issue? xD

You missed out one reason to get Guildwork premium; to support your favourite gaming community! More premium members means more capital for updates, features and the like :)

Not sure this was mentioned or not but... does the Shout area on this site support Yells as well?

Haha I forgot that one. The goal is to use all the extra revenue to hire a designer and re-do the site.

It does yells also. We are just combining them all into 'shouts'

I notice a couple of UKers passing out the {Good Job!} to Stan. Have any of you in the UK subscribed? I'm kinda new at international payments by credit card, so are they hit with a currency conversion charge, or does Stripe just charge an equivalent GBP figure?

Also, this is awesome. SE should really just buy the software from you and supply this great service to all players as part of the subs fee (like they should have done with ffxiah.com a long time ago!)

This is from Stripe's FAQ.

Quote:
Can I charge non-US customers? What currencies can my customers use to pay?

Yes. Non-US cards work, so long as they're with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB or Diners Club.

Customers can use pretty much any currency to pay. The amount will be converted to USD at prevailing exchange rates. (That is, if they have a Euro-based credit card, they will see an uneven Euro charge on their credit card, and you'll receive the exact dollar amount in your account.) All amounts must be denominated in USD when creating charges with Stripe — the currency conversion happens automatically.

That being said about 50% of Guildwork's subscribers have been out of USA, no one has said anything about abnormal fees and I am sure there is someone you can find and ask =)

Is there anywhere we can see how many people that pay for premium?
Similar to how the minecraft webpage shows users\people who paid for the game?

I can probably do that, but for now I can tell you that there are 118 premium users out of the 23,000 that use Guildwork so 0.5% haha.

This is something that is very simple and can customize if ya learn the text plugin.

Just remember to use //text devset schedule.

Example: //text devset schedule 500 15 (X and Y coordinates)

For more info on the text plugin please visit our wiki on windower.

I didnt see the point of making a new thread for this but something seems to be off with the Valefor shouts. It's only showing shouts from Ru'Lude Gardens and yells from PJ also show up as being from Ru'Lude.

Anyone know anything about this?

It's down right now... but seriously, there was a thread on the main page about it. I'm not sure bumping a year old unrelated post was necessary...

Rmt shouts? Unless if youre talking about fc shouts, i have no idea what you're talking about. If fc shouts, please keep those. They are very useful

If you aren't getting yourself cleaved up to level 80 (minimum) and then moving to worms, you're doing it wrong. RMT or not, FC shouts are one of the more handy things the game has going at the moment for individuals who are leveling up.
