Good morning all. So I am about to finish my nirvana (yay) which means I have to start trials for it (less than yay). Any tips the trials? My plan was to wear espial sparks gear, sub sam, and fight in abyssea with dd atma. That being said, I think my test run showed 900 damage on fodder mobs with Garland of bliss. It has me worried that getting killing blows with the ws will be stupid frustratingly hard. Any advice on getting through this slaughter field would be much appreciated.

I have yet to finish mine, but a tip I have gotten is; If you have an excess of Cruor, buy brews and go on a rampage in Abyssea.

Trial 1 (Beasts) - Abyssea La Theine, rabbits.
Trial 2 (Arcana) - Abyssea Ulguerand, the little robot orbs.
Trial 3 (Plantoids) - Mandragoras, abyssea somewhere. I don't remember where I did this, haha.
Trial 4 (Vermin) - Abyssea La Theine, bees.
Trial 5 (Lizards) - Abyssea Misareaux, raptors.

Use a set for Garland of Bliss for MATK. When possible use your aftermath level 3 and you will build TP extremely fast. Regain atmas are extremely useful too, more than you'd think (Sea Daughter, Voracious Violet, Sundering Slash, etc). Aftermath can end up being a waste of time based on how much TP you build.

If you have a good matk set it should kill any of the above mobs when they get to like 60-80% HP. The damage is very consistent since it's magical, so once you know how much HP they need to have left, just get them that low and use it. Keep Hastega II up and use Garuda to help lower their HP fast enough.

As for armor, you can tweak your set a little bit, but you really don't need anything fancy. Make sure you're in an item level set, keep your haste maxed (maybe a little bit over to combat Atma of the Sea Daughter if you use that), and you're good to go.

Once you get a good rhythm going you'll just plow through it. It still takes a bit of time, but not as much as you'd think.

I don't know the situation on your server, but for Bahamut I'd say; choose a different camp.
The Flux 7 raptors camp is the camp for Abyssea leechers here.

Your better off a bit furhter down around the area where Gukumatz pops.
You have a choice between lizzards, bugards and peiste and those camps are usually uncontested as hardly anyone's going for a new Empyrian weapon anymore.

Ah, that might have been my issue. I geared GoB as a physical ws focusing on mnd and str. Ill try gearing more mab and magic damage.

At this stage of the game, Magic Damage Trials (outside of Atonement) are way easier than Physical Damage ones. Rock that Hagondes Armor for WS and I recommend Beyond Atma + Weatherspoon Ring to rack up that Light Potency.

Altepa on the black mandies was very nice. it's easy to aggro pull and easy to avoid the NM. only had hastega I when i did it and those trials were definitively less painfull than any physical trial i went through.

That's a terrible idea and a complete waste of brews. You'll spend a fortune to save 5 minutes of work.

It's not a mistake - brew is the only thing worth purchasing with Cruor now, not including the small amount is costs for Atma and buffs.

Go to abyssea buy brew, use it then buy another.
Port to area. Agro or magro lots of mobs.
Line them up and 1shot them quickly. Pop 2nd brew once first one is done.

Absolutely a mistake. You can't pop/kill hundreds of mobs as SMN in the time it takes before the brew runs out. Total waste.

I just finished mine using brews. Much faster than meleeing and wsing the mobs. So much faster.

Look man, Cruor is super tough to get. So manually building TP with a 402 delay weapon is optimal.
