Hi everyone. So I got a parser, and I was messing around with Stardiver for a while on the test server. Here's the information.

1 WS - 938 was done at 10% Doll life -_- sorry, so the average should be higher not considering it. Actual Average: 4,120.89

Soil Gorget + Soil Belt was used in this test. All WS's were done as close to 100% TP as possible. Atma used: SA VV RR - Wanted to use realitic Atma's that would not hinder damage potential, test.

49 WS sample size test ran for 30 mins duration of 1 Red Curry Bun with some minor distractions x.x;

Take all that parse data, and re-paste it under the [/code] tags. Then all the columns will line up, and it won't be so hard to read.

Inside of abyssea, sure. However this may actually pull ahead in Voidwatch and other such content where you can't push critical hits etc.

There's also the idea of being able to use this on a monster for increased critical hit rate due to it's critical hit evasion debuff on the Enemy.

I'm gonna run more tests and see where they go/match up.

Another suggestion. There's a lot of irrelevant info posted there atm. This is a ws test thread. Really the only thing needed from there is the WS info. Totals, melee, counters all have no impact on this.

So, like:
Code
Player Abil. Dmg Abs'd.Dmg Net Dmg Abil. % Hit/Miss A.Acc % A.Low/Hi A.Avg
 - Stardiver 202862 0 202862 91.56 % 50/0 100.00 % 938/5879 4057.24

That's pretty much all the data from the parse that has any bearing on this atm.

Well, another thing I'm trying to figure out is how much of a benefit "Lowers Enemy Critical Hit Evasion" is. Notice my Wyverns Crit Rate, I'm trying to get more samples. However, yeah I see there's a lot of irrelevant information.

The crit rate is a good point.

But it'd probly be better to test that separately, in a more controlled situation. Were you opening every fight with a Stardiver(before landing any melee hits)? If not, then you're getting a mixed sample. Most hits were probly the crit eva- up, but no doubt some were with it down. This will skew the crit eva- value downward. You can still get a ballpark figure, but it should be tested more precisely at some point.

But still, keeping that in mind, the relevant info would now be:
Code
Melee Crit Damage
Player #Crit C.Low/Hi C-0.Avg Crit%
Amador 105 614/1400 804.39 65.63 %
Oscar 62 185/303 258.84 48.06 %

Player Abil. Dmg Abs'd.Dmg Net Dmg Abil. % Hit/Miss A.Acc % A.Low/Hi A.Avg
 - Stardiver 202862 0 202862 91.56 % 50/0 100.00 % 938/5879 4057.24

Plus maybe the total # of melee hits, to show the acc of the sample.(160 hits)

btw, Atmas. SA = ??. No DD atmas that would fit that come to mind. Unless it was a typo of SS.

Anyway, unless you've got some crit rate+gear going.. Crit rate=dDEX+merits+RR. 20%+5%+30%=55%.

You had a 65.63% crit rate, so 65.63 - 55 = 10.65%. So, Very roughly(and from a very small melee sample size) 10% change in crit rate from Stardiver.

So that'd drop it down to 7% from the crit eva-. It could still really be 10%, depending on how many hits landed without it up. But there's really no telling how often that happened.

And 160 hits is a pretty small sample too, so there's room for this to go either way.

Got curious about the STR being 85%, so I took off Atheling and Elemental Gorget/Belt. Replaced with Cerberus +1, Lancer's Torque and Pipilaka Belt, but the results came back lower than expected.
Code
Player Abil. Dmg Abs'd.Dmg Net Dmg Abil. % Hit/Miss A.Acc % A.Low/Hi A.Avg
Stardiver 185679 0 185679 90.43 % 57/0 100.00 % 1571/4721 3257.53

Again these were as close to 100% as possible, and with more than enough monster HP.

I also just noticed that KParser is doing something funky in which it's putting some Stardivers into the Counter pool and not counting them into WS <_<;
Code
       2829: 1
       2942: 1
       3106: 1
       3217: 1
       3244: 1
       3443: 1
       3522: 1
       4076: 1
       4096: 1
       4189: 1

So...

this impies Average: 3,288.70

I wasn't watching crits this time, however they came out much lower due to the way I was killing. However, these are the numbers.
Code
Melee Crit Damage
Player #Crit C.Low/Hi C-0.Avg Crit%
Amador 133 616/1389 843.36 59.64 %
Oscar 76 198/313 266.20 41.76 %

Going to do a more controlled test in which Stardiver is the first action as engaged followed by melee strikes.

On this note, does anyone know if Pets benefit from Critical Hit Rate merits?

They don't benefit from merits at all, unless the merit clearly states as such. And I dont think its 85%. I think the starting mod is 0% isn't it? and then +17 for each other upgrade? so 17x4 = 68% str mod, no? 85 would be WAY too strong, I think.

Nightfyre had mentioned something about the mods:

Quote:
5/5 is 100% WSC, 1/5 is probably ~20% (earlier test suggested 17% iirc). 20% would allow it to scale by 20% for each merit.

It states that further upgrades = +17%.

That doesn't state nor describe the base %.

I got the WS first, then I went to test it at 1/5 before I got the parser sadly. It was doing damage, so it couldn't of been 0% WSC at all. It for sure, 100% has a starting base of WSC. So be it 17% or 20% I don't know which. However, it did infact do damage. Crap, but damage none the less.

Current controlled crit test is going well, getting more and more samples.
Code
Melee Crit Damage
Player #Crit C.Low/Hi C-0.Avg Crit%
Amador 49 616/1439 758.73 66.22 %
Oscar 27 228/298 263.19 50.00 %

WS is going off first 100%, then I switch into TP gear and begin swingging.

Elemental Gorgets, and Belt seem to have a huge effect on this WS. I still can't understand why.
Code
Ability Damage
Player Abil. Dmg Abs'd.Dmg Net Dmg Abil. % Hit/Miss A.Acc % A.Low/Hi A.Avg
Stardiver 52984 0 52984 39.48 % 14/0 100.00 % 2126/4796 3784.57

I was under the impression that for Multi Hit WS's gorgets loss to decent attribute increases of 5+

Oh well, need more #s...

I wasn't saying it would do 0 lol. Meaning like 0% of your STR went into the WS (in the case of polearm). Meaning the WS would do dmg, but wasn't moded by STR/DEX/AGI/etc, until further merited lol

No yeah I understand what you mean by what you said.

When I got it the WS was doing 2.3-2.8kish some lower numbers due to missed hits etc as well as higher due to double attacks.

If it was 0%WSC, I'd imagine the damage would be in the low 1600's to low 1900's. Assuming the fTP is 1.0 @ 100%, I can't really see the fTP being more than 1.0 @ 100%. However that is another thing I want to figure out.

Damage definitely goes up as it states: Damage Varries with TP, 200% and 300% have mucher harder hits, but that's the only thing I think which would further skew the damage of 1.0 fTP/0%WSC weaponskill.

Nah no way, I'd never recommend that.

To this day I still recommend Empyrean Lv. 90, Corsesca +3, or w/e mew little creative toy SQEX comes out with that may have some high damage, and crazy attributes/status effects.

Nah no way, I'd never recommend that.

To this day I still recommend Empyrean Lv. 90, Corsesca +3, or w/e mew little creative toy SQEX comes out with that may have some high damage, and crazy attributes/status effects.

You didn't mention Ryunohige or Gungnir? Why? :p I was only playin lol, though this WS does look promising.

www32.atwiki.jp/studiogobli/pages/115.html

looks like they find that the base is 20% and merits up to 100%.

fTP seems to be low however, at 1.0fTP

Person on test server, stated he believed fTP on Stardiver was .75

I'd say that's somewhat reasonable.
Code
Ability Damage
Player Abil. Dmg Abs'd.Dmg Net Dmg Abil. % Hit/Miss A.Acc % A.Low/Hi A.Avg
Stardiver 220810 0 220810 43.58 % 54/0 100.00 % 2126/5774 4089.07

This is with Elemental Gorget/Belt and Cerberus +1, will switch back to Atheling Mantle eventually. These numbers are without any type of Defence Down on the monsters at all.
Code
Melee Crit Damage
Player #Crit C.Low/Hi C-0.Avg Crit%
Amador 163 604/1451 768.44 66.26 %
Oscar 99 225/312 263.41 47.83 %

8% Critical Difference in this one so far. So it's looking as if it may very well be 10% if not 9.

A cool bit I just learned... 24% of my hits were x2.5 from Gungnir and or 2.0 damage from wearing 3/5 pieces of AF3+2. 57 hits out of 253.

Mithra wins for 'poledancer' flair.

That was me. And yeah, at 1/5 merits, all 5 of my SA Stardrivers were *lower* in damage (~380) than my normal critical hits (~440).

This was just random trash outside bastok.

First hit is absolutely below 1 fTP, I didn't have SC properties to try to nail down exactly what it was with gorgets. Might go back and test now that I have them.

Hey good to hear from you, would be very interested in your findings on that.

I actually like this WS a lot and think it has a lot of potential.

If it stays like it is, it's definitely worth using between some drakesbanes to increase crit rate.

Would beat drakesbane on trash mobs outside abyssea, doubt it would on important stuff.

Stardiver has an extra ~25% damage from WSC (drakesbane is ~225 * 4 fTP, stardiver is ~300*3.75, assuming 180 str.)

With rancor/merits and assuming drakes has a 10% crit bonus, that's a floor of 25%, so unless your cRatio is over 1 after level correction (doubtful), drakes is going to be better, even ignoring crit damage from legs.

stardiver *is* going to have some more str in gear, since you don't need to use e.g. rancor collar, and there are probably some other places you could pick up extra STR. Still think it's going to win, and it's no contest if you have Ryu, which is the best polearm anyway.
