You may even be able to pull of a light and darkness off.

Right. If there's one thing I learned on Bahamut as a SAM/DNC main(someone's gotta mainheal a party with one WHM in the entire alliance!), it's how to time TP. Learning how to Light without 2hr can save your ***, and you really don't need much but timing.

Because you lose out on an attack or two with the step animations, reverse flourish for /DNC really is the definition of counter-productive.

Well... that depends on timing. After the playing the game long enough i'm sure most people have figured out that you can still get at least one attack in while an animation is going off.

Not by any means saying that the OP has the right idea.... but still
You can get an attack while the animation is going off but you're still getting the delay, just you time it to where you're about to attack, the ja delay wears, and you attack during the animation because the animation is longer than the ja delay, still get the delay though, unavoidable
