I'm still having a ball, finding it hard to put down so I can go to sleep, lol. made it to 12 hunter last night. I was experiencing a bit of the server problems as well, but nothing terrible, usually consisted of getting booted from my fireteam then having to rejoin.
Take my strategy, you will win. You can easily do him at 12, it requires camping. I done it again today and it still worked, not failed once.

I'll be more clear on it. When you enter you'll see some small walls on the left, use those for your camping area. Shoot enemies that shoot you or come near. Don't pursue enemies that are not coming after you. Having less numbers is better. Xbox One by the way =/ (Friends)

I'm not a ps4 salesman, & frankly was pretty pissed at the lack of games to date.
Destiny is redeeming that dust collecting mf'er.

I want to get Destiny and a PS4 so I can play with my friends. But I'm not sure if I want/have a need for a console. I don't need a bluray player and the majority of console titles kinda suck.
The only other games I could look forward to if I owned one would be new FF games and Kingdom Hearts but still iono if its all worth it

You can always wait for the PC release, but I doubt it will come in the next 3-5 months. They want to make as much as they can before releasing it for piracy. I'm pretty sure it's just a marketing decision so they get the most for their work on the game.

Finished the story @ level 16, I'm now level 20.
We completed every mission and got level 20 in about... 20-24 hours total.
I will now say that there is a major complaint from me, and to no surprise, it's end game.
Now the grind begins to get legendary armor to get light, so we can surpass level 20.

Xur, Agent of the Nine will arrive tomorrow and he will stay in the tower till the end of the weekend. He returns every weekend to sell unique stuff.
Xur sells Legendary Weapons, Exotics, unique consumables which speed up weapon/armor upgrades, Exotic Enagrams for Motes of Light, Majority of them cost Strange Coins only.
He will also trade cash for strange coins.

New modes coming in this month for PVP and PVE.
Edit: To clarify Raids, they're 6 man Fireteam events. They drop exclusive legendary gear and consist new bosses. Objective pointers will not exist on it, you have to figure how to do it. They're the most difficult events in PVE.

Has anyone done much with bladedancer yet? I've only just gotten 16 Hunter and haven't been able to develop the subclass that much.
The super trumps gunslinger when there's a lot of fodder between you and the boss, but GS wrecks bosses.
Edit: just found something for bards that like Destiny: Gjallarhorn

Nova I was right we kicked the piss out of that moon strike after we gained a couple lvls.

Bladedancer is very good in Pvp. It can get -50% damage taken and they become almost unstoppable to kill.

Yeah, the blade dancer super destroys in the Crucible. The Salvage game mode is open for a few days, 3v3 capture and defend, its ok.

Defender can be a real trolling class. Ward of Dawn can only be smashed easy with 2 Golden Gun shots in PVP. On the bosses, they won't break it unless they use their most powerful moves which some don't have. The amount of times people have tried to come in and they died instantly. It can give Super Barriers to you and allies inside. Or if you want, it can give weapon damage boost to players that walk inside and come out.
Sunslinger is one monster class for grenade abusing. Gets the same grenades as the Defender, plus it's super power allows it to throw grenades 3x instead of one at a time. Sunslingers grenades have a greater magnet pull than the Defenders though.

Its getting hit pretty hard by the reviewers, but it really doesn't mean anything, Bungie even said the day 1 reviews wouldn't tell the whole story.
The raids sound like they are going to add a lot to the game, if it gets the kind of support that Guild Wars 2 got (biweekly updates) then this is going to be a long lasting, fun game.
Any of you yahoos going to be playing?
we can use this thread to hook up, BS, & such.
I will be on ps4 myself. who wants to shoot some shits?
