People are 'having problems' because of the amount of time that can take place between pops. Bugbear for me was 32 total hours with the fastest pop being 4 hours. Hotpot was 49 hours with the fastest pop being 8 hours. That's killing the placeholder as soon as it is up. Bugbear I did 2 then took a 2 month break. Hotpot I did 49 hours straight with only one 4 hour nap while a friend killed PH.
So some people are not fortunate enough to 'wake up and use the 30 minutes before work to magically make it pop'.
I've done the bow/gun/hth/katana paths and bugbear/hotpot were about as bad as all the other trials combined. That's just the way it is, sometimes you get mega unlucky with pops. Placeholders on 16 minute pops like bugbear is and hotpot was just exacerbates the potential for a hella long spawn.
To the OP, just grind through it and get it done. Set up shop and don't leave for anything. You only have to do it once and then it's over forever. After this doing cara/croin will seem like a walk in the park.
