Call me crazy, but even as a guy I never liked clubs or strip bars. It just seemed so damn tacky and superficial. It's like going into a place where people try too hard and end up looking and acting like fools because of it. Anyways, not to say I'm "classy" but I like to meet people in places relevant to my interests:

Concerts, music stores, bookstores, game stores, down to earth taverns, or even FFXI. Despite being online, people can be equally interesting and fun to hang out with in game as they would IRL.
